Over the years I have realized a few films as an author and often also as a producer, which I am often asked about and which I would like to make more accessible (Vimeo).
Three times the subject was Russia and it was about people, human rights and politics. Twice it was about literature (and life), once about the small freedoms of pubs or bars.
I mostly produced the films through our company, p.s. 72 productions, and the films were intended for the cinema and festivals, I won several prizes. All the films were also shown on television, some in many countries. There are different language versions of some films.
I have published two books (2019/2024). One was about my extended family history, which often intersects with the European history of the 20th century. And then about the farewell to Ruth Schweikert, my wife, and how I experienced it. Both books are currently only available in German.
This site is designed to be very practical. I am not interested in presenting myself. I am pointing out where and how my films can be purchased. The books are available in bookstores. I make selected reviews accessible and point out public events.
